A Day of Firsts

So our first week has finished. I can't believe it! We have done so much in this first week and have got to know so many people. It has been incredible. Having people from all over the world of a similar age, under the same roof with the same purpose in mind...

'What is God going to do with our lives?'

I feel so blessed to have met so many wonderful people, and its so refreshing to meet people who are passionate about God and have the same thoughts, fears, and excitements as you.

Today is our first day in Vanuatu. We have experienced what it's like to be in a Vanuatu Church. I don't really know what I was imagining it would be like, but it was just amazing. We split into three groups and went to three different churches. Each church welcomed us and prepared a wonderful meal for us all.

The church that me and my group went to was a lot of fun. It wasn't a big church, and it didn't have a 'worship band' or speakers and microphones. Just people with voices to lift praise to their Father. It was so humbling, and you could really see the heart of the people. (and the children were so cute!)

The food we had at the end of the service was amazing, we had people from all over the village cooking for us. And we just got to hang out with the people and get to know them a little more. It was so much fun.

After all this in the morning, we went to have some relaxation time before the intense week starts tomorrow. So we went to a waterfall which was amazing! We got to swim, slide, and jump in it. I've never done this kind of thing before and I was so excited! Waterfalls are my favorite part of nature, so to be able to swim in one, is just incredible.

Everyone is tired now and winding down, getting ready for the week ahead.
